haha okay i know im lagging but CTS ARE OVER! (:
the bio people were among the last to finish i think.. haha but somehow i didnt really feel the usual excitement that comes with the end of an exam. vivan yuanz and jingli agreed too. i wouldnt say the papers were tough, more like i didnt have time to do most of it and i know i didnt really prepare for it. but it was difficult to some extent okayy. my aims arent really that high this time. haha.
basically thats my update about the whole week cos the whole week was PACKED with cts. hahaha! no la spent more time mugging for them than actually doing them. but omg the hall was super cold half the time. its like even though you dont feel the breeze or anything you just feel yourself going numb after some time. or maybe its just me =\ anyway! haha im taking a break for now to uhh give myself a pat on the back for studying so hard! yeah my brain's damn tired for some reason i think need to sleep more cos i havent been sleeping much nowadays. haha i need people to chase me to bed 0.o
OH. the exciting part of the week! haha after bio on friday slightly more than 10 of us from the class went for lunch at j8.. then we split up! the guys went to lan and play pool and nicolette vivian jingli yuanz wenjun and i went to shaw to catch nancy drew! haha we had fun sitting around before the movie and the movie itself was kinda freaky. hahah and its PG la walao! or maybe its just that we're scaredy cats. nono i choose to believe that it was scary. like suddenly random people pop up from nowhere and they look super scary la! vivian and i were grabbing onto each other haha and i was like completely cuddled up on the seat by the end of the movie -.-" k dont laugh i know i was quite loser. and we went to take neoprints after that! (: YAY it was damn fun hahaha we should do it again!
whoo training on monday havent trained in a long long while i hope i still can move properly! lunch with the 3 of them after that! i know ive said it alot of times but i'll say it again: i love addy jer and gu! then going for class outing. haha yeah tmr i need to sms everyone to confirm the date and time and place! i think its quite tough to coordinate this kind of thing so to those people who are forever doing it, WELL DONE. yup and s03f i look forward to seeing you guys on monday whoo! :D

last week of hols!
heyhey! (: im here to blog again.. quite sleepy now zzz its 1.20 am and im going swimming tmr today! haha that had like zero connection so you should know what to expect from the entry that follows!
the last week of the holidays is over. damn fast! cant say i dont wanna go back to school cos actually, i do. haha! even though we're going back and walking right into the cts but picture what happens after that and i must say im quite happy!
spent most of the week mugging in school.. with various people depending on the day. haha. i think this week i've studied with addy justin yinghui audrey fungshing ivan! haha yep the last two not really la i sat with them for awhile then migrated to join addy heehee. tuesday and friday were spent at home cos my sis was supposed to go out so i had to stay home to accompany mummy.. in the end my sis didnt go out on friday but nvm -.-" my phone was scheduled to be collected on friday but IT HASNT BEEN REPAIRED ): in the words of the nokia woman, "it has been sent to the headquarters for further repair". ahhh my poor phone i really wonder what happened to you! ):
exciting event of the week: andrea's party at gen's place! haha manda feli and leoleo couldnt go but i had fun anyway! we wanted to dunk andrea but decided to be merciful cos she had no change of clothes THANK US ANDREA :D the guys must have felt quite awkward there but i suppose they started feeling comfortable after awhile.. haha. damn funny cos we watched mean girls! and at first they were all complaining that it was a chick flick but if im not wrong one of them was quite excited about it. yeah then after the show began they were hooked HAHA. unicurd tauhuay is really nice (gen im helping you advertise now!) and i got to eat two heehee! had to walk back to the mrt station myself at night and omg tanah merah is super dark at night. as in.. i think gombak's just about as bright actually but there were like many many trees right beside where i was walking and they looked intimidating somehow. but i hugged my shoebag really tightly and zoomed to the mrt station haha. arent you proud of me! whoo i feel accomplished i just finished the ihc fencing proposal! :D ccad be proud of me please. okay waitaminute i need to email it to the guy in charge! yay thats done now i can concentrate on my blog..
because its 2 am im too tired to list out everything that happened in the week in detail, so this time you get a nice summary! ahhh long story why im up at 2 am but thats not the point is it? haha okay shucks im in the sleepy-so-i-talk-rubbish mood dont mind me! okay haha wenchong's up at this time too and he's quite funny but he just went off somewhere so i shall type quickly..
spent monday studying and had trng with wujie (: then went for fencing j2 farewell with addy and yuanzi which was quite cool i suppose. but i think i would have enjoyed it more if i spent a longer time there instead of rushing there and rushing off. nonetheless, i hope the j2s liked the surprise we had for them because it took quite some time to prepare and in the process i managed to burn some parts of my fingers with candlewax -.-" but it was worthwhile i guess, cos from what i could see, the j2s were rather happy and surprised! yep anyway not like any j2 reads my blog but in case anyone ever does, thank you for all that you've done for the team even though we felt rather unwelcomed in the beginning. but like always, you never let us down by making sure that we managed to become a team in the past few months, especially through the camp. and also by making us feel that rj fencing is a wonderful cca. i'll miss you all, especially alvin fencing, reuben fencing, darren fencing (YES they are that cool :D), junhao, sichen, bernice, zhangfan, ruth, sophie, BALPS, jinghan, jingxun! <3
sat at home and studied on tuesday, and went to school to meet kehui and jer to study on wednesday! i think studying in school's not bad actually.
had trng on thurs in school, and macs breakfast before that with jer and kehui in the canteen! and in case you're wondering how thats possible, its called takeaway! haha okay whatever you all probably knew that alr ): continued studying in school with them after trng until they left for tuition. and i saw interesting stuff in the canteen hahaha! spent some time talking to fungshing and wenyu cos they came to the canteen and distracted me. haha okay i kinda needed a distraction anyway cos there wasnt anyone studying with me..
and friday was just spent studying at home again, went out with mummy for awhile to collect my phone but its not ready yet. omg phone take care of yourself pls! I MISS YOU I REALLY DO ): even though i spent half the time before you went for repair slamming you on the floor.. but it was cos i love you! as in.. i didnt want to send you for repair again so i tried the only method i knew. ohwell nvm, just come back to me soon! yep and on the way back i happily peeled the skin from the cut on my hand, which obviously didnt help it at all but yeah okay thats all you need to know :D studied abit more and fell asleep. so i conclude that studying in school is more effective!
saturday was a good day (: studied abit of econs in the morning before going for math tuition. and after tuition we went shopping! but i need to clarify that im NOT a shopaholic btw. its just that its the great singapore sale now as i was telling wenchong just now. hahah and there are good offers that shouldnt be missed! that aside, the other members of my family wanted to shop too! yep so we went to orchard whee! :D everybody left orchard happy hahah yay i love my family!

fence on!
hey! (: another week of the holidays is gone. ahh im super screwed for CTs. but its alright I CAN AND WILL DO IT! but of course anyone who would like to offer me your brain is welcome..
had exco meeting on monday.. supposed to meet at 11.30 for extra trng but i woke up at 11 so i only reached school in time for the meeting. okay i was late for it actually. but i brought them food! and the train was moving super slowly. yeahhh so we discussed our shirt and jacket design which currently arent confirmed yet. jacket's confirmed but shirt's not. anyone got good suppliers to recommend? sms me! hmm then fenced abit with dennis who whacked my thigh and gave me a huge bruise but nvm thats not the point. went for trng at clementi after that. i love training! :D
tuesday was the first day of u17s and u20s. went down for reporting at 9 am.. and got asked to referee hahaha rejected all but one and i got bullied into scorekeeping for one poule and four DEs. madness i press until hand pain. but nvm i earned icecream! everyone fenced well! dennis convinced me to study at macs with him for an hour and so i did. haha not too bad la chem bonding done!
our event was on wednesday. i think addy jer gugu and i have all improved YAY (: yupyup the other fencers did well too! went for dinner with them after the comp i think we were going high in kfc haha! and we were quite embarrassing =$
went to school for trng on thursday. was quite okay la had indiv trng and wanted to faint after that. haha but i survived dont worry. got to shower after that it felt damn good! then had lunch with jer addy wenyu and ivan at subway. j8's damn crowded on a thursday, seriously. bishan library's not bad for studying! haha managed to read 20+ pages of chem energetics + do functions and justin actually finished a whole topic of bio. but nvm its justin >< hahah okay sorry!
had comp again on friday. u20s this time. damn funny la we wanted to humji and run away. we like got our phones and wallets alr but our coach saw! hahaha then he made us come back. and told us our aim was to get to DEs. and we did so well done all of us! i think we really improved la (: SI DOU YAO TUI (die also must move back)! yesyes lesson of the day :D we felt quite proud of ourselves for not humji-ing in the end la. dinner after that was goooood. jer addy vicky and me! heehee. we shared like XO fish beehoon, beef hor fun, rojak and satay! yumyum! sleepover at addy's house after that. haha girl talk! no la we played bridge and laughed like crazy over the 9 o'clock show. i think its the company, i dont usually laugh during that show 0.o but his lines were really cheesy. hahaha. and we played truth or dare for awhile before deciding that it was quite stupid to since we could just ask straightaway. yep! and we pigged out! sorry addy for diminishing your supply of yummy food.. and stinking up your house by airing our suits! fell asleep for awhile at 1 plus then got woken up to occupy the whole couch and couldnt fall asleep again. so we ended up talking till 4! yay i love addy jer and gugu! dont heavy colour light friend so much la you gu! grr.
woke up at 12 plus today haha we were all lazy to move la. probably wouldnt have if it wasnt for the fact that we were hungry. hahaha. chicken rice for lunch! then we lazed around abit and took photos :D before we finally moved ourselves out of the house. comp was exciting and fruitful! i was laughing under my mask like half the time la. hahaha. and we wanted to humji tmr too. but got convinced to go down. okay i guess i dont mind (: yep so see you all fencers tmr!
we're thinking of extra training outside now. but my parents dont approve. i dont understand why really. as in, you think it'll distract me from my schoolwork but thats not going to happen. i know im not doing that well in school and i'll try to work harder no matter what. in fact the more commitments i have, the less time i have, the more i feel the need to work hard. and i cant skip trngs on tues and thurs to go for the outside trng and that makes things alot tougher. im free on wed and fri but jiaolian's not. ahhh i really dont know what to do cos if i want to push back my math tuition or change day im gonna get killed. confirmed. and if my dad doesnt want me to go for trng i cant go secretly either cos he wont give me money to pay for them. so half my allowance gone. i dont mind actually. but the problem now is time. i dont have a time when i can go down and he'll be free. consider tues before school trng pls? i really honestly dont mind the need to rush here and there. cos there's no other way im gonna be able to make it for a second trng. omg ahhhh. or wed also can. shall ask him abt it. i think mon tues wed thurs sounds good ha just that my parents wont. i need to do well for common tests first. ): and the fact that i ran for exco means that i made a promise to the team. i cant let them down just because i want to improve my own fencing. so confirm wont go for extra trng during school trng. had exco meeting on monday.. supposed to meet at 11.30 for extra trng but i woke up at 11 so i only reached school in time for the meeting. okay i was late for it actually. but i brought them food! and the train was moving super slowly. yeahhh so we discussed our shirt and jacket design which currently arent confirmed yet. jacket's confirmed but shirt's not. anyone got good suppliers to recommend? sms me! hmm then fenced abit with dennis who whacked my thigh and gave me a huge bruise but nvm thats not the point. went for trng at clementi after that. i love training! :D
tuesday was the first day of u17s and u20s. went down for reporting at 9 am.. and got asked to referee hahaha rejected all but one and i got bullied into scorekeeping for one poule and four DEs. madness i press until hand pain. but nvm i earned icecream! everyone fenced well! dennis convinced me to study at macs with him for an hour and so i did. haha not too bad la chem bonding done!
our event was on wednesday. i think addy jer gugu and i have all improved YAY (: yupyup the other fencers did well too! went for dinner with them after the comp i think we were going high in kfc haha! and we were quite embarrassing =$
went to school for trng on thursday. was quite okay la had indiv trng and wanted to faint after that. haha but i survived dont worry. got to shower after that it felt damn good! then had lunch with jer addy wenyu and ivan at subway. j8's damn crowded on a thursday, seriously. bishan library's not bad for studying! haha managed to read 20+ pages of chem energetics + do functions and justin actually finished a whole topic of bio. but nvm its justin >< hahah okay sorry!
had comp again on friday. u20s this time. damn funny la we wanted to humji and run away. we like got our phones and wallets alr but our coach saw! hahaha then he made us come back. and told us our aim was to get to DEs. and we did so well done all of us! i think we really improved la (: SI DOU YAO TUI (die also must move back)! yesyes lesson of the day :D we felt quite proud of ourselves for not humji-ing in the end la. dinner after that was goooood. jer addy vicky and me! heehee. we shared like XO fish beehoon, beef hor fun, rojak and satay! yumyum! sleepover at addy's house after that. haha girl talk! no la we played bridge and laughed like crazy over the 9 o'clock show. i think its the company, i dont usually laugh during that show 0.o but his lines were really cheesy. hahaha. and we played truth or dare for awhile before deciding that it was quite stupid to since we could just ask straightaway. yep! and we pigged out! sorry addy for diminishing your supply of yummy food.. and stinking up your house by airing our suits! fell asleep for awhile at 1 plus then got woken up to occupy the whole couch and couldnt fall asleep again. so we ended up talking till 4! yay i love addy jer and gugu! dont heavy colour light friend so much la you gu! grr.

korea (:
summary of my trip!
korea is a nice place, minus the fact that we dont understand them and vice versa.
most of the people were friendly and welcoming but the random people in the street push you without apology. then again, they might have said excuse me just that we dont understand but i usually dont hear anything before i get pushed soo..
i love my tour group, tour guide and photographer!
the little girl and little boy in my tour group are super cute! :D the girl does really funny stuff and the boy says funny stuff. haha
the tour guide tells us interesting facts abt korea and the weather which makes me feel more knowledgeable!
the photographer is 31 and he said he doesnt have a girlfriend and we had fun teasing him during one dinner. and he's super cute! :D like a teddy bear. everyone thinks so! he takes nice photos of us and he's nice to the elderly and the young!
korea hotels are mostly v nice
shopping there is good, except there's lots of stuff that are more expensive than here in singapore
korea makes me feel adventurous and i wanna learn korean so next time i go i can communicate with them
my sis and i concluded that amusement parks are for families with young kids and couples!
korea is damn fun
we eat kimchi in korea everyday!
they dont really know how to cook their vegetables thats why we have so many different vegetables soaked in chilli and other random sauces
korea has really yummy biscuits which make me want more and more and more (okay i sound like a greedy girl)

HELLO! haha im back from korea! okay actually i flew in on friday night heehee (: so let me give you a longwinded update on the trip! for those of you who dislike details or long posts, please move on to the next post and come back another day. HAHA. oh you can always tag my board or comment of course :)

zoomed home from school and finished packing the stuff before showering and going to the airport! waited for a super long time cos we were early then we finally met the tour group and the person who helped us to check in. my tour group had 12 people, with another family of 4, 2 girls (not really la they're working alr but quite young i think) and a married couple who didnt bring their kids along and of course not forgetting my family! yup so we got on the plane and i was super tired so fell asleep after dinner.
26/05/07 (saturday)
reached incheon international airport at 6 plus am in korea (which was 5 plus in singapore).. got on the bus and picked up another 14 people who were actually another tour group but for some reason they combined us, they flew there one day before we did. yup and the 14 people consisted of a family of 9, a family of 3 and a couple! had to get our own breakfast so we went to this bakery and we totally had our first experience of talking to another person who didnt understand you. haha but by the end of the trip we were good at picking out the keywords and making huge actions in hope that they will understand! >< headed to everland theme park where we had this big 5 ticket thing so my tour guide brought us to 4 attractions. it was actually 3 la cos the cable car ride up and down was counted as 2 -.-" then we took this water ride where you basically get pushed along a river, and you get splashed at various points in the ride but it was not too bad cos there was this plastic sheet that covers your body! then we went into this zoo, where the main attraction was the liger (a combination of a lion and tiger)! dont you thinks its super cute like how in the world did they attract each other! hahaha. then we had lunch at the theme park - pork cutlet rice. followed by a bus ride to gimpo airport where we took a domestic flight to jeju island! went to the hotel where we put our luggage and went for dinner. it was supposedly seafood steamboat but we only saw fish! hahaha ohwell.
27/05/07 (sunday)
had abalone porridge for breakfast but the pieces of abalone was super small. but didnt matter la i dont really like abalone. visited long tou yan which is this volcano rock that is blackish and looks like a dragon head! and they have these two generals called tu di gong and they protect the land cos jeju has more women than men! cool fact: the women and men on jeju are called nengbadi and wangbadi respectively! haha cos the women can do a lot of work so they are neng gan (capable)! and the men basically get waited upon so they're like wang (king)! after that we went to climb up this 182 m hill. its a hill right. hahaha should be la. and the view was quite cool! got some chocolates and orange sweets from the shop nearby. lunch was bbq black pork (hahaha the pig was black. and we ate lots of pork over the next week 0.o) visited this traditional folk village, where some scenes of da chang geum (da chang jin) was filmed.. quite funny haha my sis and i took this photo with a paper cutout of the 4 main characters in the show and if you dont look closely it looks almost like we're part of the cutout too! and we went to the TEDDY BEAR MUSEUM :D:D v cute! i wanted a teddy bear cos a girl can never have too many but yeah okay i do have quite a few. and we ate icecream heehee yummy! the bus driver drove the bus on to the magic road after that. its a slope but when you turn off the engine your vehicle rolls uphill instead of downhill, defying gravity. had ginseng chicken for dinner, and there was ginseng wine too! some of the adults were happily downing the wine but none got drunk hahaha. and it was back to the hotel!

happy birthday gugu!! :D ahhh i was quite sad the whole day cos i thought of the people who got to go for ccal camp ): but anyway! we took a plane from jeju to daegu in the morning. and visited dongwasha temple which has a 33m buddha statue! lunch was some tofu soup with a special mushroom thats good for health! haha. then we shopped at jung angro street and i bought socks while my sis bought earrings! went to daegu spa valley where the tour group went for a nice soak while this woman from my tour group and i didnt go ): cos of my wound la haha im sure i go in and share whatever's in my wound with them and the koreans. but the woman was really nice! she walked around the area with me then she gave me a honey orange hee. had korean bbq for dinner at the spa place.. then checked into another hotel!
29/05/07 (tuesday)
second day of ccal camp ): had breakfast at the hotel then took a long bus ride to maisan provincial park. the mountain top was shaped like a horse's ear! okay maybe the whole mountain im not sure. then we had mushroom shabushabu for lunch (mushroom steamboat la basically) before taking a tiny bus up the mountain. visited a ginseng farm after that, the amount of research they put into growing ginseng is quite amazing. then it started raining so it was damn funny cos we were all like oooh ahhh and pointing our cameras at the plots of land and when we felt raindrops it was like RUN RUN EVERYONE RUN. hahaha! i bet the farmers thought we were weirdos. went to the traditional wine museum after that. apparently some of the teacups have a limit to the amount of wine you can pour in (okay i know every one does but its different okay!) as in after the cup is half filled anything else you pour it will leak from the bottom. its to remind them to control their drinking or smth. then had dinner at a cool restaurant, bbq again. and went for our night's stay at this ski resort haha they wanted us to see how it was! and it was super cold. the hotel was quite nice but our room was creepy. if i end up talking to you abt the trip i'll probably tell you abt it.. haha but our parents' room was fine la so we slept in their room heehee.
30/05/07 (wednesday)
last day of ccal camp ): had breakfast in the hotel again, we thought that there was only bread cos when we sat down there was just one plate of bread in the middle of the table. then suddenly when i was really happy with the bread, they served a plate of other stuff! like sausages, hashbrown, egg and tomato. hahah. visited sangsoo herb land after that.. the old man in charge of the place is super cute! and he was like.. singapore's nice but korea's nicer! hahahaha -.-" and there was a stone in there, if im not wrong if you touch the front you'll give birth to a boy and touch the back a girl. or maybe the other way round. haha OOPS :$ there were nice plants there! and two cute little bears. hahah. like literally bears! lunchtime! fried niangao, potato, veg, meat and rice! sounds like a lot but it wasnt really. i liked the taste but i felt slightly cheated even though i was just cheating myself la hahaha. cos when they say niangao i had this nice image of the brown sticky one we have during chinese new year! visited nami island after that - the filming site of winter sonata. haha didnt watch the show but the place was nice la. the trees were in super straight rows! and we went to seoul land which is this amusement park for little kids. haha we didnt take any ride la. my parents didnt look entertained. hahaha we took alot of photos though. and we had fried chicken for dinner! bought donuts from dunkindonuts after that. korea has many branches i wish singapore did too! the donut i got was DAMN NICE. went shopping at coex mall after that, but we didnt shop much cos we were quite tired. the stuff there are quite expensive too! stayed at ritz carlton :D super nice haha and its located south of the han jiang (river if im not wrong). yeah and there's like a great difference between the status of people who live on the different ends of it. like jiangnan (the south) is where the highclass people live and jiangbei (the north) is just like normal standards. yeah and our hotel was in the south! :D hahah. it came as part of the tour package la haha.
31/05/07
had breakfast at this chinese restaurant which has been open since the 1800s. we ate mantou, youtiao, vege, tofu and porridge and it came with soya bean milk. in one word, YAY! visited the ginseng monopoly showroom after that. haha monopoly just reminded me of econs but yeah anyway, its called that cos the government controls the ginseng production and sales in the country to ensure quality control! then we went to the place that sold dongchongxiacao (another herb) and i didnt know that it was like, literally worm in winter and plant in summer 0.o then we went to the amethyst factory but i think my tour group was out of that place like super fast. hahah. went for lunch! its the kind where you have to sit on the floor and eat like quite a number of dishes most of which were vege >< there were traditional performances too! but my sis and i couldnt watch while eating cos firstly we were facing the other side of the room and secondly we were blocked by a pillar -.-" saw abit of it after lunch la hahah. then the 12 of us got onto a diff bus from the 14 people, they were heading to the airport and back home.. went shopping at dongdaemun market, ended up drinking coffee and eating cake on the 8th floor of doota building! hahaha with another family :D walked abit around that building and the small stalls around.. then went to kyongbok palace which if im not wrong is the filming site of da chang geum too! it has over 600 years of history and it was quite nice la (: had a very historical feel. shopped at myeongdong after that, bought earrings again! there was lots of food around haha but we werent hungry! oh in the end we ate this cuttlefish thing. and there was this guy standing in the middle of the street offering free hugs! haha quite amusing. dinner was ban fan (mixed rice) and steamboat soup.. the photographer helped me to mix the rice :D:D after that he helped other people also but that was because they didnt know how to okay! hahaha i've no idea why he offered to help me but my sis and i concluded its probably cos i looked like i wouldnt know how to ): hahah but its okay PHOTOGRAPHER ROCKS! went back to the hotel before going out again to walk around the place with my family. my sis and i could find our way despite not understanding the signs okay! bought biscuits heh! and on our way back to the hotel, we saw this cool caucasian man just outside the hotel! haha he gave way to us, cos the path was really narrow. wanted to let him walk first but he was being really gentlemanly! (:
01/06/07 (friday)
last day of our korea tour ): for the first time in the whole trip i felt sad abt leaving korea and returning home. we had buffet breakfast someplace in seoul. then went to make kimchi! haha which we didnt bring home >< i think they threw it away hahaha! and we got to try on the traditional costume! i thought it'd be more elaborate or smth but i guess they made it in such a way that the tourists can just try v quickly and take it off even faster after that. hahah there was just like velcro here and there and the people just stuck the costume on. then we went to shop at sinchon [woman/girl] street (its called xinchunnvrenjie in chinese you see). yeah apparently the uni students shop there alot.. the clothes were super nice but my sis and i concluded they're too skinny for us. haha! and there was this university located nearby! went back on the bus after that and we were all quite amused cos my tour guide went to get a new hairstyle. hahaha. exchanged email addresses (: then on the bus ride to the place where we had lunch we bought photos from our dearest photographer (: i think he was really happy cos everyone bought all! had korean bbq for lunch then shopped at the store in the same building. we bought sweet, pillows, seaweed and sashes! haha. went to the airport and took a group photo with our tour guide and photographer yay! and our moisturiser got confiscated at the customs omg. ask me abt it i'll tell you more. safer not to put here haha! then it was home sweet home. my left knee was cramping at the end of the flight. but im glad we got home safely :D
conclusion: KOREA 2007 ROCKS :D i wanna go back!

last day of ccal camp ): had breakfast in the hotel again, we thought that there was only bread cos when we sat down there was just one plate of bread in the middle of the table. then suddenly when i was really happy with the bread, they served a plate of other stuff! like sausages, hashbrown, egg and tomato. hahah. visited sangsoo herb land after that.. the old man in charge of the place is super cute! and he was like.. singapore's nice but korea's nicer! hahahaha -.-" and there was a stone in there, if im not wrong if you touch the front you'll give birth to a boy and touch the back a girl. or maybe the other way round. haha OOPS :$ there were nice plants there! and two cute little bears. hahah. like literally bears! lunchtime! fried niangao, potato, veg, meat and rice! sounds like a lot but it wasnt really. i liked the taste but i felt slightly cheated even though i was just cheating myself la hahaha. cos when they say niangao i had this nice image of the brown sticky one we have during chinese new year! visited nami island after that - the filming site of winter sonata. haha didnt watch the show but the place was nice la. the trees were in super straight rows! and we went to seoul land which is this amusement park for little kids. haha we didnt take any ride la. my parents didnt look entertained. hahaha we took alot of photos though. and we had fried chicken for dinner! bought donuts from dunkindonuts after that. korea has many branches i wish singapore did too! the donut i got was DAMN NICE. went shopping at coex mall after that, but we didnt shop much cos we were quite tired. the stuff there are quite expensive too! stayed at ritz carlton :D super nice haha and its located south of the han jiang (river if im not wrong). yeah and there's like a great difference between the status of people who live on the different ends of it. like jiangnan (the south) is where the highclass people live and jiangbei (the north) is just like normal standards. yeah and our hotel was in the south! :D hahah. it came as part of the tour package la haha.

had breakfast at this chinese restaurant which has been open since the 1800s. we ate mantou, youtiao, vege, tofu and porridge and it came with soya bean milk. in one word, YAY! visited the ginseng monopoly showroom after that. haha monopoly just reminded me of econs but yeah anyway, its called that cos the government controls the ginseng production and sales in the country to ensure quality control! then we went to the place that sold dongchongxiacao (another herb) and i didnt know that it was like, literally worm in winter and plant in summer 0.o then we went to the amethyst factory but i think my tour group was out of that place like super fast. hahah. went for lunch! its the kind where you have to sit on the floor and eat like quite a number of dishes most of which were vege >< there were traditional performances too! but my sis and i couldnt watch while eating cos firstly we were facing the other side of the room and secondly we were blocked by a pillar -.-" saw abit of it after lunch la hahah. then the 12 of us got onto a diff bus from the 14 people, they were heading to the airport and back home.. went shopping at dongdaemun market, ended up drinking coffee and eating cake on the 8th floor of doota building! hahaha with another family :D walked abit around that building and the small stalls around.. then went to kyongbok palace which if im not wrong is the filming site of da chang geum too! it has over 600 years of history and it was quite nice la (: had a very historical feel. shopped at myeongdong after that, bought earrings again! there was lots of food around haha but we werent hungry! oh in the end we ate this cuttlefish thing. and there was this guy standing in the middle of the street offering free hugs! haha quite amusing. dinner was ban fan (mixed rice) and steamboat soup.. the photographer helped me to mix the rice :D:D after that he helped other people also but that was because they didnt know how to okay! hahaha i've no idea why he offered to help me but my sis and i concluded its probably cos i looked like i wouldnt know how to ): hahah but its okay PHOTOGRAPHER ROCKS! went back to the hotel before going out again to walk around the place with my family. my sis and i could find our way despite not understanding the signs okay! bought biscuits heh! and on our way back to the hotel, we saw this cool caucasian man just outside the hotel! haha he gave way to us, cos the path was really narrow. wanted to let him walk first but he was being really gentlemanly! 01/06/07 (friday)
last day of our korea tour ): for the first time in the whole trip i felt sad abt leaving korea and returning home. we had buffet breakfast someplace in seoul. then went to make kimchi! haha which we didnt bring home >< i think they threw it away hahaha! and we got to try on the traditional costume! i thought it'd be more elaborate or smth but i guess they made it in such a way that the tourists can just try v quickly and take it off even faster after that. hahah there was just like velcro here and there and the people just stuck the costume on. then we went to shop at sinchon [woman/girl] street (its called xinchunnvrenjie in chinese you see). yeah apparently the uni students shop there alot.. the clothes were super nice but my sis and i concluded they're too skinny for us. haha! and there was this university located nearby! went back on the bus after that and we were all quite amused cos my tour guide went to get a new hairstyle. hahaha. exchanged email addresses (: then on the bus ride to the place where we had lunch we bought photos from our dearest photographer (: i think he was really happy cos everyone bought all! had korean bbq for lunch then shopped at the store in the same building. we bought sweet, pillows, seaweed and sashes! haha. went to the airport and took a group photo with our tour guide and photographer yay! and our moisturiser got confiscated at the customs omg. ask me abt it i'll tell you more. safer not to put here haha! then it was home sweet home. my left knee was cramping at the end of the flight. but im glad we got home safely :D
conclusion: KOREA 2007 ROCKS :D i wanna go back!
