orientation's over! :(

after dreading it for so long and after that slowly getting into the swing of things.. its now over! but its been a wonderful experience and l'egongsimi we must still meet up before school everyday! and hopefully we'll end up like christine's og, which still meets even now. :D

the first day of orientation was kind of sad cos we were all still in the holiday mood and we didnt exactly want t be back in school, let alone an unfamiliar environment. didnt really feel anything after seeing my group for the first time. haha. the icebreakers were quite okay but kind of quiet.. then the war games were quite funny cos we played connect four first and we lost to this MR team. went to kabola or smth like that land where we played this ball balancing game! and we kept winning due to sheer skill! hahah. so we just stayed there the entire time and managed to defend our territory. i guess that kind of helped to lessen the tension in the group so yay! after the day officially ended, we went for dinner and ended up sitting at some void deck with boxes of pizza, cups of bubble tea thanks to our ogls and bottles of green tea. we talked a little but most of the time was spent listening to brian's philosophies of life. HAHA. was quite entertaining la. at least it made us laugh..

second day.. started off quiet again. then we had to learn our batch dance! actually i feel quite sad for jingxiong cos he can rmb most of the steps but i keep forgetting! haha. but he was really nice abt it so thank you! :D had station games in the afternoon. the station games were really weird like.. passing 10 cards down a row only using straws and your mouths, spinning 15 rounds then trying to shoot a bball into the hoop, some body part to ball to body part game where you have to go through this obstacle course with your partner, this game called subway where you're supposed to crawl through a maze thats under a table then when you meet someone from the opposing team you either answer a question or play scissors paper stone to decide who can move on and who needs to get out, a ball game which was like dodgeball cum captain's ball and.. i forgot the last game but yeah you should get the basic idea. went for og dinner again, this time at longhouse which is near thomson! i think we were attracting quite alot of attention there for some reason. then we started playing games like truth or dare before dinner and continued after dinner. we also played zhong ji mi ma and i never! i think this dinenr kind of helped us to bond more la haha cos of all the retarded stuff we were doing and we said..

the third day started off with dancing again! haha. damn sad la i couldnt really rmb the first part and they had to start on the second. HAHA. but we had external activity after that! it was quite fun la i suppose. haha. even though we looked damn weird walking around chinatown with like raffia tied around our wrists.. and im glad that my partner was a rather talkative one! the games we played were really weird la! like the cup with holes thing and the flour and super rings game. our og missed out the cabbage game but nvm i think its good that way. HAHA. and we sat down super long for lunch we were like not playing the game at all. after external activity we went back to school and our og went for dinner again! this time we went to.. eh i cant rmb. hahah. yay warren says yishun! yup we dabaoed food and sat down at the park! quite loser la hahaha but it was fun! yup so we started chatting while waiting for our OGLs who only came at 8.. and it started raining soon after they came! so we shifted to some place under a building where we were struck by inspiration to come up with an og item! and thats when everything changed cos everyone was really enthusiastic abt the item! :D yup so we spent quite some time discussing the basic idea before deciding to meet again on saturday.. but i couldnt go. ): anyway.. we went home after that.haha.

and yesterday was the last day of orientation. we spent the morning learning the rain dance before playing more war games. haha the war games were really weird.. like this tagging thing where everyone's assigned a certain role and caterpillar pacman where the whole og is tied up together and finally the summit where you're supposed to throw newspaper balls to raise your house flag up! and we got to mummify our ogls after that but brian somehow disappeared and shihui managed to escape from her newspaper filled carton box head! went back to our l'odge after that to rehearse for our item! haha i had 5 wonderful people who willingly took up the task of teaching me the dance! in chronological order [like when they decided to help to teach. HAHA].. brian, weixun,junyang, yinglin and sammy! :) thank you all so much for entertaining me while teaching me the dance! i would like to think i wasnt that bad a student yesterday. hahaha. thankfully the dance was quite short. and the learning was alot more enjoyable cos the 5 of them kept making me laugh. haha. yay then soon it was time for auditions! i think we all had fun putting hair wax on each other's hair and tying raffia string around each other. haha. luckily the judges liked our performance! okay they had to cos we were impressive! :D so WE GOT THROUGH! so we spent more time tidying up our hair and other stuff like that before we had to go to the hall. haha. we had to do the batch dance and the rain dance and the ogls did the sun dance! then we watched this dance performance by the ogls and it was time for the 8 selected ogs to perform!

and guess what! WE WON O NITE! yes we did! hahah L'EGONGSIMI YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST! :) we were definitely AWESOME! :D
